District 1 is the smallest and most unique district in the California Youth Soccer Association (CalNorth) and includes cities in the northern tip of the San Francisco Bay peninsula: San Francisco, Daly City, Colma, Pacifica, San Bruno, South San Francisco, and Brisbane.
Most of District 1 is a dense urban environment where often the biggest challenge is to find a place for practice or play. Nonetheless, our CalNorth affiliated leagues offer soccer year round – traditional fall leagues, rapidly growing spring leagues, a summer league and new winter futsal league.
We have four leagues registering players to play on teams at all levels of skill – from recreational to competitive. Most league play in District 1 is recreational, and teams often participate in more than one league during the year. Competitive teams generally play in the CalNorth CCSL league.
District 1 teams also participate in CalNorth Cup competitions, such as State, Presidents, Association, Jr. Cup and Founders Cup.
Our most aspiring and dedicated players are encouraged to participate in the Olympic Development Program. Tryouts are held annually.
Along with player development, District 1 also offers opportunities for coach and referee training with regular clinics and courses.
The District 1 Administration is composed of a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers working together to offer new and better opportunities for youth soccer. Please feel free to contact them through this link.
