District 1 is the smallest and most unique district in the California Youth Soccer Association (CalNorth) and includes cities in the northern tip of the San Francisco Bay peninsula: San Francisco, Daly City, Colma, Pacifica, San Bruno, South San Francisco, and Brisbane.
Most of District 1 is a dense urban environment where often the biggest challenge is to find a place for practice or play. Nonetheless, our CalNorth affiliated leagues offer soccer year round – traditional fall leagues, rapidly growing spring leagues, a summer league and new winter futsal league.
We have four leagues registering players to play on teams at all ages and levels of skill – from recreational to competitive. Most league play in District 1 is recreational, and teams often participate in more than one league during the year. Competitive teams generally play in the CalNorth CCSL league.
The District I Board is composed of a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers working together to offer new and improved opportunities for youth soccer. District members are encouraged to contact the District Commissioner to discuss volunteer opportunities and as a contact person for assistance.
